Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the city came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were wounded.

The attacks succeed periods of air raids in the area, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
